Why open up "Another Mexican Restaurant".

Over the years I often get asked ‚"where can we eat authentic Mexican food‚"...

Well I often answer ‚"at the home of any Mexican that lives here‚"...

Unfortunately there is not many of us here an the American influenced "Mexican" food has everyone believing that we just eat ‚"hard shell tortillas‚" with ‚"chilli con carne‚" and heavily seasoned sauce with an all purpose seasoning or enchiladas with the one and only ‚"use for everything‚" sauce.

In my experience sometimes out of the bottle with extra cheese and sour cream to cover up any ‚"new Mexican‚" idea made up in their kitchen.

We do have a very ancient culture and traditions that deserve a little bit more respect, that includes our food. Just about every region in Mexico has different food and ingredients and ways of making their own traditional dishes.

For example the traditional dishes of Jalisco have nothing in common with those of Yucatan; neither have those of Nuevo Leon with those of Michoacan or Guerrero, similarly the dishes found in Oaxaca are not found anywhere else as well as the way the descendants of the Aztec culture in the Valley of Mexico continue to make their moles and salsas; so we're embarking ourselves to "educate" ‚"Aussies" in how to eat Mexican food (not always too hot), our culture (some of the Mexican art is for sale), music (if you don't like it, we'll play something else), (please not dancing on the tables); so when you order the ‚"antojitos" feel free to eat with your hands, that‚ it's exactly how we do it. Forks and knives are available for the more discerning customer.

There will be a specials board (if we can get our act together) for those who like to order "weird and wonderful" things.

If you don't speak Spanish, don't worry, we live in an area where not many people can speak English (specially our refugee brigade), they all live at the back. The Mexican coffee is brewed in the kitchen, "secret" spices are used and if you can guess them all you'll get a shot of our cheapest Tequila.
Anyway we really hope you'll enjoy our food and tell all your friends; we have to pay the rent soon and have to get some relatives out of jail in Colombia.

We hope you enjoy our food and service.
